Luxury Boutique Cruising Redefined
New for spring/summer 2021, Elixir Boutique Cruises launches their first 50 person yacht, the Elysium, offering a range of rejuvenating journeys around the Greek isles. A holistic approach will offer a much needed break, following the past year, to re-align mind, body and soul, aboard a yacht haven of wellness and understated luxury.
“These journeys will be suitable for solo travelers, couples, friends and families, who can choose to be as active, relaxed, sociable or reflective as they like all whilst making long lasting memories with like minded fellow guests,” comments the Chairman of The Cruise Line Ltd. “Elysium will take its passengers to some of Greece’s most exquisite, and often unseen pristine coves and beaches only accessible by private yacht,” going on to add, “and guests can discover one of the oldest civilizations in the world, learn new crafts, enjoy wellness treatments, massages, meditate at sunset, enjoy a glass of chilled wine on the sundeck, hike a volcano, cook with locals, snorkel, stargaze or just simply relax, unwind and rejuvenate with a good book during their voyage.”
With only 25 cabins, the Elysium is truly boutique, and guests can enjoy the services of a traditional cruise ship whilst feeling like they are on a private yacht. On board, there is a dedicated spa, and a boutique gym. The sun deck lounging area is equipped with loungers, slumber sofas, a hot tub and telescope. In the daytime guests can lounge with a book and enjoy a fresh juice or drink and as dusk falls chilled mocktails, cocktails, fine wines and beer are available on the deck, overlooking the sunset, providing the perfect setting to catch up with fellow passengers about the day’s adventures. Snorkeling equipment, glass bottom kayaks and SUPs are at guests’ disposal, with water skiing and flyboard available on request.
Deliciously healthy, farm-to-table Mediterranean cuisine is served in the indoor dining room or alfresco. Guests can enjoy nibbles and finger food along with drinks anywhere on board. Passengers will enjoy half-board every day plus selected dinners. At other times guests will be able to book tables on each island they visit, with the help of the on-board concierge, or alternatively wander through the pretty streets and choose what takes your fancy.
Although Elixir is the ‘new kid on the sea’, the team is far from being new to the cruise and travel industry and is managed by a close-knit group of cruise aficionados, travel and wellness experts and led by an experienced boutique cruise professional, and company President & Founder, Loannis Termidos.
Termidos adds, “As avid world travelers ourselves, we have journeyed the globe, collecting invaluable experiences about what truly matters when you travel boutique style. Sensing the overwhelming need for a different approach to boutique cruising, post pandemic, one that combines intimacy and luxury with wellness, we created Elixir Cruises. On board our first boutique yacht, the Elysium, our dedicated crew and our Cruise Concierge along with our resident yoga, meditation and wellness coaches await to welcome guests with a smile and care for their every need and to realign mind, body and soul after the global pandemic.”
Guests are encouraged to mix and match different activities with the Elixir Balanced Concept, to create their own unique journey. The onboard Cruise Concierge and Wellness Coach will assist in putting a plan together. The onboard Gemaya Spa is staffed by Balinese massage therapists who will apply ancient Greek therapies, signature treatments and healing rituals from all over the world. Both single and couples massage can be accommodated. Group classes in yoga, pilates and aquarobics are offered as part of the package.
By definition, a smaller ship means a smaller carbon footprint. Whilst offering guests an intimate experience at seas, they are also offered a choice that is gentler on the environment. Elixir are committed to keeping the environmental impact to the bare minimum, providing guests with smart refillable water bottles to use throughout their stay, eco-friendly hotel amenities, environmentally friendly cleaning products and locally sourced produce for the farm-to-table cuisine.
- Prices start from £2500 per person based on shared cabin, meal plan as above, including 1 beach BBQ per trip, wellness guidance, group yoga, pilates, aquarobics, meditation sessions with qualified onboard wellness coaches, gym access, and use of all non-motorised water equipment.
