Emma Grace Arends will be one of the first actors to walk the boards when theatres finally open when lockdown ends

After over a year of closures, theatres can finally open their doors again and Emma Grace Arends will be staring as Sleeping Beauty at the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool. This will be Emma’s first post-lockdown live performance. The show is running between the 29th May – 5th June and co-stars Gareth Gates.

When the Evil Carabosse curses Princess Beauty to die on her 21st birthday, Beauty’s Fairy ensures she only falls into a deep sleep which can be broken with a kiss from her true love.A handsome Prince must come to her rescue and save the day. The show also features a live band, beautiful scenery and costumes, special effects, and lots of laughs.

This talented actress is best known as the only live character Daisy, in Peppa Pig; My First Cinema Experience and has travelled the world with the show, she performed in Sydney’s Opera House and two UK national tours. To lift spirits during the first wave of the pandemic Emma dressed up as Daisy and surprised her fans with garden visits (with social distance measures in place) and personalised videos. All the proceedings went to Alder Hey Children’s Charity in Liverpool.

Emma Grace grew up in Merseyside and fell in love with performing at an early age. At 16 she attended London’s Arts Ed 6th form as a compromise with her mum to finish off her studies, she then went on to the 3 year BA honours degree at Arts Ed Drama School and has toured with Open air Shakespeare companies playing roles such as Hermia, Juliet and Hero. Emma worked on ITV’s Cilla as the choreographer in Liverpool with our national treasure Sheridan Smith.

Pre-pandemic Emma stared in a TV pilot in Los Angeles called Across The Pond and has been seen all year in the Galbani Television advert.
