Queralt Ferrer, the founder of handmade-to-order children’s fashion brand Five of Us, shares her journey in launching the brand and her vision for the future of fashion. With over 20 years of working as a fashion design director at both Massimo Dutti and M&S, Queralt had a vision of creating a children’s clothing brand that fused traditional craftsmanship and methods with a modern approach within a responsible business model.
This vision did not come free of obstacles as this project started during the pandemic, in Amsterdam where she was living at the time. With a passionate and super positive team, Queralt was able to overcome the obstacles caused by such a difficult environment. It took months of calls and virtual working but in late September last year, Five of Us was launched. Queralt’s passion for style and craftsmanship started at a very young age due to her father’s background. He ran a well-known textile business in Spain, famous for its high-quality cotton fabrics and beautiful shirting designs.
