HELEN KIRKUM presents ‘HISTORY IN REMAKING’ a short film celebrating their Made to Order sneaker service. HELEN KIRKUM’s Made to Order offers season-less classic silhouettes constructed of post-consumer waste collected from recycling centre TRAID. Their signature material and textural mixes bring mystery and depth to each step, trailblazing the way for the sneaker industries need to address their own planned obsolescence. The film celebrates the joy of wearing and the process of making. A playful and atmospheric short by Bernhard Deckert.

This season the brand also debuted’s their first collaborative jewellery piece with RÄTHEL & WOLF, this transitional Lace Lock can be worn both on or around each pair, redefining sneaker hardware into statement fine jewellery. The Lace Lock can be worn at the base of each eye stay, as a hangtag, an anklet or around the neck.

As a follow up to last seasons debut presentation ‘Dystopia/Utopia’ addressing our relationship between commerce and the environment HELEN KIRKUM presents the same foundation collection of sneakers. Showcasing the VOYAGE RUN & VOYAGE CUP silhouettes in the brand’s staple colourways, Faded Black and Worn White, as well as an additional Teal/Grey colourway. The collection also showcases two examples of their bespoke Made to Order LEGACY service, where customers can send their own personal pairs to be transformed. HELEN KIRKUM works alongside clothing charity Traid to rescue discarded single sneakers, clean and deconstruct them. The single shoes serve as the constant inspiration for design details and tactile material mixes for new pieces. HELEN KIRKUM linings are made from leather off-cuts kindly donated by John Lobb.
