Recognised and revered around the world, Gusbourne’s award-winning English wines simply cannot be compared to any other. Delivering unmatched quality and exceptional craftsmanship with every bottle, Gusbourne produces vintage wines that are synonymous with excellence.
Now, admirers of this celebrated winery can become members of an exclusive cellar-to-door club, Gusbourne Reserved. This members-only experience offers connoisseurs the chance to indulge in some of the finest sparkling wines in the world.
Reserved members will become the first in the world to try the finest selection of still and sparkling wines from the Gusbourne library, as well as limited edition creations that can’t be tasted, or bought, anywhere else.
To celebrate Spring, members have the exclusive opportunity to sample the highly anticipated Pinot Noir Rose 2020, Magnum. The still rosé is a distinctive expression of summer and offers a delectable blend of estate-grown Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. It boasts soft summer berries and floral notes, while the palate is driven by Garden of England apples, ripe strawberries, fresh cherries and redcurrants.
Every bottle of Gusbourne wine is crafted with hand-picked grapes of the highest quality, under the watchful eye of Head Winemaker, Charlie Holland. Grown in the heart of the Kent countryside, the wine is pressed in whole bunches to yield only the finest juice, resulting in a depth and flavour that cannot be replicated.
Regarded as being at the pinnacle of English sparkling wines, Gusbourne’s unique vintages are only released when deemed ready by Charlie, or Master Sommelier and Brand Ambassador, Laura Rhys. Those that join the Reservedclub will receive invitations to exclusive members-only events, including first opportunities to taste brand new wines before anyone else.
Reserved members are guaranteed an allocation of 12 Gusbourne wines, delivered in two cases of six in May and November. Each delivery includes two bottles of Gusbourne Brut Reserve, Rosé and Blanc de Blancs, delivered straight from the cellar to its members’ front doors.
A special collection of gifts welcomes each new member to the club, while complimentary tastings and vineyard tours encourage Gusbourne’s exclusive associates to get to know the vineyard and its ethos on a personal level.
Throughout the year, members can also order additional bottles at preferential rates, and have the opportunity to obtain English sparkling wines that will only ever be available to Reserved members, including limited edition Pinot Noir, Blanc de Noirs and Late Disgorged.
In 2004, when the first vines were planted at Gusbourne Estate, they had a clear vision and a single goal: to create English sparkling wines that would stand up alongside the very finest offerings from across the globe. Gusbourne have had their sights set on perfection ever since.
Focusing on just the classic grape varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, Gusbourne believes that the only way to ensure the quality of their grapes is to grow them themselves. That’s why the grapes used in Gusbourne’s wine making are sourced solely from Gusbourne vineyards.
Aligned with Gusbourne’s vision to create the finest wines possible, they choose to plant predominantly Burgundian clones. This means that Gusbourne produces lower yields, but the resultant fruit is riper and has significantly more flavour, making the grapes ideal for the production of fine sparkling wine.
Gusbourne’s wine making is a slow and measured process. They have an uncompromising quest for quality and a fastidious approach to detail. Gusbourne follows strict, self-imposed parameters to maintain their exacting standards and keep intervention to an absolute minimum, in order to ensure the best expression of their wines each and every year.
This is especially important because Gusbourne wines are exclusively vintage. They are unique to each growing season and present an authentic reflection of a time and place.
